♥      Always check with clients for allergies/sensitivities to acrylates prior to use and be sure to watch for any signs of reaction during application – i.e. severe itching, puffiness, swelling, redness etc – if these symptoms develop, either during or after application, remove lashes and refer your client to a chemist or doctor.  Our lash sealer must be used following the application of each set of lashes to help ‘cure’ the adhesive and reduce the possibility of reactions.

♥      If you have a client who has experienced a severe reaction to a lash adhesive in the past DO NOT apply a set of lash extensions without doing test lashes first – apply 5 lashes on each eye (keeping them similar length to the natural lashes) and then ask your client to note any reaction to them over a 48 hour period – if any irritation occurs we would recommend that this client does not have lash extensions applied.  If no reaction, you may then proceed with application but advise your client to contact you immediately should any irritation occur.

♥      All our adhesives are quick setting – once dipped in the adhesive the lash extension needs to be applied immediately to the natural lash otherwise the adhesive will start to cure and even though it may stick to the lash it will not create the strong bond it is capable of.  If too much time elapses before the lash extension is applied the adhesive will ‘tack’ off just ever so slightly, once this happens, the extension will still grab the natural lash but the bond most likely won’t last as long as desired.  So…..dip the lash in the adhesive and then apply it immediately to the natural lash.  Our adhesives are made to apply lashes using the ‘drop and go’ technique as they dry very quickly and need to be left undisturbed once applied to the natural lash – the adhesive should not be ‘shimmied’ or wiped onto the lash during application.

♥      You will note the thin consistency of all our adhesives, we LOVE this and it’s a fantastic way to achieve a beautiful, natural look with no lumps of glue – in fact you can barely see any adhesive at all – to achieve maximum results it is important to ensure that you coat the lash extension with enough adhesive to create the desired ultra-strong bond.   We find the best way is to slide the lash extension into the adhesive ensuring the base is covered and approximately half to three-quarters of the lash extension and then be sure to ‘lift’ the lash out of the glue, not drag it out – which wipes off the adhesive on the bottom of the lash (which is where we need it most) – aim to have tiny droplets of adhesive along the shaft of the lash extension – tap any big droplets off on your glue pad.

♥     Keep a close eye on the temperature and humidity in your work room – ideal conditions for our adhesives are a temperature of 20 – 25oC and a humidity level of between 45 – 60% – outside of these ranges your adhesive may not respond in its normal manner.

♥      Always shake bottle well before use and recap immediately – clean nozzle if necessary and store in a cool, dark place.  Remember to refresh your drop of glue at least every 30 minutes during application (or more depending on the temperature/working conditions) – this will ensure you get maximum strength bond.  Adhesives should be replaced every 3-4 months.
